The new Volkswagen Transporter T6 has just been unleashed on the British public, and we are happy to welcome it to the range of Volkswagen vans we convert here at Rolling Homes. This latest update brings the Transporter family in line with the latest range of VW cars, both stylistically and in its range of new security and safety features on offer.
These features include adaptive cruise control, electric tailgate, reversing camera, a post-collision braking system, and even a Driver Alert System which will detect whether the driver is too tired to be driving! Short and long wheelbase versions are available.
In terms of the engine you require, the range is extensive, from 83bhp all the way to a 201bhp unit. The full VW diesel engine range will be available, and these new 2.0-litre TDI units are said to be 15% more efficient than those found in the current T5. Higher output models can be purchased with a 7-sped DSG gearbox.
So if you’re looking to convert a new van with Rolling Homes, the new T6 is definately the best place to start. The cosmetic changes and new features directly from the VW road car repertoire are the icing on the cake for what is a fantastic update of an already legendary vehicle.
